Village of River Forest Real Estate Closing Process

The Village of River Forest requires a pre-transfer inspection of all property prior to closing.  In order for a seller to transfer a property, all municipal violations must be cleared up prior to closing with few exceptions.

River Forest assesses a transfer tax  of $1.00/$1,000 (round up by $1)  plus a final water bill ready must be ordered and paid prior to closing.
